Broad Construction is committed to reconciliation and as part of this recognising the traditional custodians of the lands in which they work and operate.
Recently, Broad Construction’s Queensland team delivering Brisbane Catholic Education’s Notre Dame College Stage 1 project hosted a traditional Smoking Ceremony to formally mark the start of construction.
The ceremony was conducted by respected Gubbi Gubbi man Lyndon Davis with Broad Construction, Brisbane Catholic Education and supply partner guests in attendance.
“Broad Construction is grateful to Lyndon for joining us and pleased to formally mark the commencement of this project by acknowledging the traditional owners of these lands,” says Broad Construction Operations Manager Cameron Kirkwood.
Broad Construction’s delivery of the Stage 1 of the Notre Dame project includes the construction of a new administration building, a number of learning buildings, sports courts, a workshop and extensive landscaping.
