Accolade for leadership in building
Congratulations to Broad Project Manager, Phillip Millan (pictured right) and the entire Brisbane State High School project team following the presentation of a 2016 National Professional Excellence Award; Commercial Construction $10 million to $50 million, at the National AIB Professional Excellence in Building Awards on Saturday night.
As the AIB State (Qld) Chapter Professional Excellence Award recipient for the category in May this year, Phillip’s submission was then forwarded to the AIB national judging panel and proved successful, as announced at a gala dinner held in Melbourne on 3 September 2016.
The awards are unique in Australia in that they recognise excellence of individuals who display the highest levels of expertise in the building and construction management process, and focus on ‘how’ a project was built, not ‘what’ was built.
The Brisbane State High School project is a model example of Broad’s approach to project delivery and the successful completion of this innovative project is a credit to the proactive approach of everyone involved.
Congratulations again to Phillip and the entire project team - a great result.
