A revitalised home for WA's Master Builders
MBA Construction House sits in a prominent West Perth location and is currently the head office of the Master Builders Association of WA.
Broad undertook a full façade refurbishment of the six-storey building to modernise and revitalise the external aesthetics.
The entrance was upgraded by introducing a new glass portico canopy and a total redevelopment of the existing forecourt.
The management of this project comprised of the coordination of the installation activities, including providing the required preliminaries and scaffolding, followed by a carefully staged program of works, that occupied only one building face at one time.
The new façade comprised of the cladding of all existing brick face surfaces, window reveals, as well as the parapet. Our team procured, fabricated and erected a structural steel support system to the existing building fabric secured through the existing brick face.
The building was occupied during the works, which were delivered sequentially in order to minimise disruption to the existing tenants and associated small businesses.
Broad has extensive experience with façade refurbishment of live occupied sites, including projects such as the St Martins redevelopment and the refurbishment of the GPO building, both in Perth’s CBD.
MBA Construction House works were completed in early 2017.
