Unifying traditional and modern
The WA State Government's development of the Cathedral and Treasury Precinct transpired as we were focusing on our reputation in fit-out expertise.
Our team has first-class capability and market knowledge in commercial fit-out, so when we were awarded the first major contract to fit-out part of the new 33-storey David Malcolm Justice Centre within a revitalised $700 million Cathedral and Treasury Precinct, we couldn’t wait to get started.
The office tower building is located at 28 Barrack Street in Perth’s central business district. Works comprised the fit-out of Levels 2 to 16 (approximately 15,700sqm), plus ground floor and basement areas of the new civil courts for the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
We are proud to have played an integral part of such an interesting and rewarding project, which now houses 10 courtrooms, eight hearing rooms, three special trial rooms, interview rooms for civil matters, a law library for the Department of the Attorney General, office accommodation for court support personnel, and chambers for judges and registrars of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
