Systems upgrades to support a growing domestic capacity

Selected as preferred contractor earlier this year, we have worked closely with Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) to carefully plan works to upgrade the fire services systems in the Domestic Terminal Building (DTB).

Utilising a staged approach, we have finalised the design phase to ensure an efficient and effective works program.

The scope of work includes:

  • Upgrade of existing smoke detection system;
  • Upgrade of existing emergency lighting and exit signs;
  • Upgrade of existing EWIS and intercom system; and
  • Improved overall system performance.

Broad brings extensive experience of working within live operating environments to the delivery of this project, and as a point of difference, was able to leverage existing knowledge of the systems within the DTB through the team’s previous aviation experience.

We look forward to continuing our collaborative relationship with BAC to deliver the second phase of the project safely and efficiently.
