In December 2018 Broad Construction was awarded the contract to build a state-of-the-art secondary school in Yarrabilba, Queensland.
The new Yarrabilba State High School opened in December 2019 and provides places for 300 students across year 7 and year 8. By 2024, the school will accommodate 1,800 students in years 7 to 12. The project was completed in time for the commencement of the 2020 academic year.
The scope of the project covered:
- Learning space requirements including junior and senior general learning centres, business & ICT centres, applied technology centres, science, music and sports centres; and
- Other school facilities including an administration building, canteen, staff accommodation and amenities, sports facilities and storage.
