Our company's achievements

In November 2022, Broad Construction's parent company CPB Contractors launched a Stretch RAP for 2022-2025. They worked closely with Reconciliation Australia to develop a plan that outlines actions and deliverables that support Broad Construction and CPB Contractors to continue the journey of reconciliation.

As a founding member of Supply Nation and a member of Social Traders, Broad Construction are connecting with verified Indigenous businesses and social enterprises across the country. During the financial year 2021/2022, Broad Construction and CPB Contractors procured $92 million of goods and services from Indigenous businesses and social enterprises.

In 2022, more than 15 Indigenous businesses were awarded contracts worth over $12 million nationally through Broad Construction. These include companies working across waste management, security, stationery and office supplies, electrical and building supplies.

To further assist us with a pipeline of Indigenous professionals, we make early access offerings to the CIMIC Graduate Program for those who successfully complete their university studies and internships with us. To date, 291 Indigenous university students have completed internships with CPB Contractors, with a high number offered direct employment.

In June 2022, Broad Construction's parent company CPB Contractors signed their second 3-year agreement with CareerTrackers; an organisation that supports pre-professional Indigenous university students and links them with employers to participate in paid, multi-year internships. To date we have supported 92 interns with 64 being offered direct employment.
